Best Nightlife -(Bars)
Meccanò
(Nightlife - Bars)
Viale degli Olmi 1Florence IT 50100 55-331-371
Description:
Meccanò is arguably one of Florence's most popular nightclubs. Youthful crowds flock to its doors to hit one of the six bars, followed by one of the four dance floors. In the summer, there are even dance floors outside, so you can strut your stuff beneath the stars. Theme nights occur regularly, so be sure to have a '60's or '80's outfit on hand. Your best bet is to come in your trendiest new Italian outfit with lots of cash on hand because drinks run about L5,000 each.
Red Garter
(Nightlife - Bars)
Via de' Benci 33rFlorence IT 55-234-4904
Description:
As you may have guessed by the name, the interior of this nightspot is a sea of red. When you first walk in, you will notice a casual bar on the right with droves of mingling people enjoying the sociable atmosphere. In the back, there is an intimate stage area where local acts often perform live. Each night features a different kind of music, from rock to blues to jazz. The local 20-something's congregate at the stage or even outside to pass the night away.
Space Electronic
(Nightlife - Bars)
Via Palazzuolo, 37Florence IT 55-293-082
Description:
Space Electronic does not tend to get quite as crowded as some of the surrounding bars, but the party is just as fun! This groovy 1970s-style dance club tends to attract predominantly younger crowds, although you will find patrons in their 30's here, as well. The dance floor upstairs is always rocking with only the best dance music, and the karaoke downstairs never fails to deliver an entertaining evening. Drinks average from L5,000 to L10,000.
Tenax
(Nightlife - Bars)
Via Pratese 47Florence IT 50145 55-308-160
Description:
Tenax is a very popular bar among Florentine locals. Many great Italian musicians have performed here, as well as a few from around the world. Themes range from Latin music on Wednesdays to the trendiest music of today on Fridays. Saturday nights feature the hottest DJ's around, and they play house music until the wee hours of the morning. Don't miss the Tube Privé, which is built completely of recycled materials.
